3 children die from measles and measles-like symptoms in 24 hrs
So far this year, at least 37 children have died from confirmed measles infections in Bangladesh.
Three children died from measles and measles-like symptoms from 8am yesterday to 8am today (20 April), according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
During the same period, 1,170 patients with measles-like symptoms were admitted to hospitals nationwide. Of these, 174 cases were lab-confirmed as measles.

In addition, 183 children have died with symptoms consistent with measles.
According to DGHS data, between 15 March and 20 April, a total of 3,617 measles cases were confirmed through laboratory testing.
The latest health bulletin said that 24,776 suspected measles cases have been identified nationwide. Of these, 13,172 patients have already been discharged after receiving treatment.
