Health ministry makes 29 civil surgeons OSD
As per the notification, the transferred or reassigned officials must join their new workplaces by 6 March

Twenty-nine civil surgeons have been made officers on special duty (OSD) by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, according to an official notification issued yesterday (2 March).
The directive was issued by the ministry's Health Services Division, with Deputy Secretary Sanjida Sharmin signing the order.
As per the notification, the transferred or reassigned officials must join their new workplaces by 6 March. Otherwise, they will be considered released from their current postings effective from 9 March.
Contacted regarding the shuffle, Dr Sayedur Rahman, a special assistant at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, said this was a routine procedure.
"The decision was not made to penalise them. As they were positioned in their designations for a long time, it was decided to make some changes."
