Headmistress suspended for hanging Sheikh Mujib's portrait in school office
The decision was taken according to an official letter sent by the Pirojpur District Education officer yesterday (4 August).

Tension arose over the hanging of a portrait of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the office room of Sonarghop Ramesh Chandra Govt Primary School in Nesarabad Upazila of Pirojpur.
Shamima Yasmin, the headmistress of the school, has been temporarily suspended over this incident. The decision was taken according to an official letter sent by the Pirojpur District Education officer yesterday (4 August).
Khondoker Jashim Ahamed, Nesarabad Upazila education officer, said, "The district education officer has temporarily suspended her through a letter."
"The dismissal order was sent from the Pirojpur District Education Office in the afternoon through an email", he added.
When our reporter called Yasmin to inquire about this, her husband, Md Hafizur Rahman had picked up the call and said, "The assistant education officer informed my wife about a letter. However, he didn't mention anything about her dismissal from the job."
In this regard, District Primary Education Officer (Acting) Mohammad Mustafa Kamal said, "She has been temporarily suspended. Further action will be taken after the investigation."
