Haji Salim’s wife passes away

Gulshan Ara Begum, wife of Dhaka-7 lawmaker Haji Mohammed Salim, died at a private hospital in the capital on Sunday night. She was 50.
She had been suffering from various diseases including diabetes, Kidney problem and high blood pressure and undergoing treatment at Labaid Hospital.
Gulshan Ara breathed her last around 11:45pm, said Haji Salim's personal secretary Belal, Somoy TV reports.

Haji Salim is also currently undergoing treatment at the same hospital, he said.
Gulshan Ara Begum was the chairman of Medina Group, the family organisation of Haji Salim.
She was the Ward Commissioner (now Councilor) of Undivided Dhaka City Corporation.
Her namaj-e-janaza will be held at Chawkbazar Jam-e Mosque after Asr prayer today.
