On Sunday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' UNCLOS conference room, the Foreign Ministry organised an Inter-Ministerial meeting, "Branding Bangladesh Abroad," to monitor, prepare, and plan for meeting possible challenges Bangladesh may face in the context of graduating from being a Least Developed Country (LDCs).

It also discussed showcasing Bangladesh's economic viability, success under the Covid-19 constraints, augmented financial abilities to perform in international markets, success stories of the brave people of Bangladesh, tourism, self-sufficiency in food production, and more, as possible branding avenues.

It also decided to set up a common branding platform where all government and non-government organisations can find complementary support systems for branding Bangladesh abroad in their respective fields.

Officers from various government agencies, including the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Commerce, the ICT Division, Economic Relations Division, the Bangladesh Tourism Board, BEZA, BEPZA, BIDA, the Public-Private Partnership Authority, BISCIC, representatives from DCCI, BGMEA, FBCCI, and others, also attended the event.
