Govt urges to avoid fireworks, crackers on New Year celebration
"The fireworks, lanterns and crackers on the occasion of New Year (English) cause air pollution, noise pollution, fires and bird deaths," a directive issued from the ministry this noon, ahead of the 31 December celebration slated for tomorrow.
The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, in a directive, urged all concerned to avoid Fireworks, lanterns and crackers on the occasion of New Year, start of the Gregorian calendar year.
"The fireworks, lanterns and crackers on the occasion of New Year (English) cause air pollution, noise pollution, fires and bird deaths," a directive issued from the ministry this noon, ahead of the 31 December celebration slated for tomorrow.
These directives should be followed cordially to protect the environment and public health as well, the release added.
