Govt begins week-long district tour to promote referendum
The campaign started today (15 January) and will continue until 21 January.
Advisers to the interim government have begun a week-long nationwide campaign to raise public awareness about the upcoming referendum.
Led by advisers responsible for election monitoring and support, the campaign started today (15 January) and will continue until 21 January. As part of the initiative, members of the advisory council will tour districts across the country to inform citizens about the purpose, significance and procedures of the referendum.
During the outreach programme, advisers will hold meetings with local administration officials, civil society representatives and people from various professional backgrounds. The initiative aims to encourage public participation and enhance voter awareness ahead of the referendum.
On the first day of the campaign, Local Government Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan is visiting Chattogram, where he is scheduled to attend a series of meetings and programmes with relevant officials and stakeholders.
The interim government expects the district-level campaign to help ensure wider public engagement and more informed participation in the referendum process.
