Gold prices up Tk3,266 per bhori, 22-carat hits Tk2.68 lakh
This year, gold prices have been adjusted 39 times so far, with 25 increases and 14 reductions.
Gold prices in Bangladesh have increased again, with the price of 22-carat gold rising by Tk3,266 per bhori (11.664 grams), the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) announced today (10 March).
According to a Bajus notification issued this morning, the new price of 22-carat gold has been set at Tk2,68,214 per bhori, effective immediately.
The association said the price adjustment had been made considering the overall market situation following a rise in the price of pure gold (tejabi gold) in the local market.
Under the revised rates, 21-carat gold will cost Tk2,56,025 per bhori, while 18-carat gold has been priced at Tk2,19,458 per bhori.
Gold produced under the traditional method will be sold at Tk1,79,159 per bhori.
Earlier, Bajus reduced the price of gold by Tk3,266 per bhori yesterday, setting the price of 22-carat gold at Tk2,64,948 per bhori.
So far in 2026, gold prices have been adjusted 39 times in the country's market, with the price increased 25 times and reduced 14 times.
Alongside gold, silver prices have also increased this time. The price of 22-carat silver has been raised by Tk175 per bhori to Tk6,532.
Meanwhile, 21-carat silver will cost Tk6,240 per bhori, 18-carat silver Tk5,365 per bhori and silver produced under the traditional method Tk 4,024 per bhori.
In 2026, silver prices have been revised 24 times in the domestic market, with 15 increases and nine reductions recorded so far.
