All of them confessed to the rape and gave statements under section 164.

On September 25, a young woman was gang-raped while visiting MC College with her husband. She was abducted by some leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) at around 8:30 pm and raped her in the dormitory.

Later, the victim's husband filed a case with the Shahparan police station. Six BCL leaders and activists and three others unidentified were accused in the case.

Law enforcement agencies arrested eight people in this case and put each of them in remand for five days, including the six accused.

All eight accused confessed to their involvement in the incident and testified in the court.

In their deposition, the accused said that four people raped the young woman and the other four assisted in abducting and raping her and beating up her husband.
