Floating body of woman recovered from Buriganga river
The police have filed an unnatural death case in this regard
Police recovered the body of a young woman from the Buriganga river in the Borishur area of Keraniganj, Dhaka this afternoon (25 December).
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Keraniganj Model Police Station, Sohrab Al Hasan, said locals noticed the floating body and alerted the authorities by calling the emergency number 999.
Following the report, the officer-in-charge of Borishur Police Outpost recovered the body around 2pm and sent it to Mitford Hospital's morgue for an autopsy.

According to police, the woman was murdered two to three days ago. The body was wrapped in a blanket, placed in a sack, and thrown into the river.
As of the filing of this report, the identity of the deceased woman has not been determined.
The police have filed an unnatural death case in this regard.
