Flash procession by Chhatra League in Narayanganj's Sonargaon; 7 detained during preparations in Fatullah
"Acting on the tip-off, we detained seven people. They told us they were organising the march to re-establish AL's presence," police said

Leaders and activists of Chhatra League, the banned student wing of Awami League (AL), held a flash procession in Narayanganj's Sonargaon early this morning (21 April).
Meanwhile, seven Jubo League activists were detained by police in Fatullah during preparations for another procession.
According to police, the procession in Sonargaon was held around 7am at the Noyabari area on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway.
Around 10 to 15 participants, wearing helmets and face masks, marched under the banner of Chhatra League, chanting slogans such as "Sheikh Hasina will return, Bangladesh will smile."
Confirming the incident, Additional Superintendent of Narayanganj Police Asif Imam said, "This morning, Chhatra League activists held a flash procession under the Awami League banner. Due to the blurry footage, we have not been able to identify anyone yet. Efforts are underway to identify those involved."
On the same day, seven activists of the Jubo League were detained in the Shibu Market area of Fatullah while preparing for a procession.
The detainees were identified as Abul Hossain, Molla Zafar, Sohag, Uzzal, Shah Alam, Topon, and Rasel — all known followers of Fatullah Thana Jubo League President Mir Sohel.
Police said the Jubo League activists concealed their political identity by posing as construction workers and other professionals.
"Early in the morning, we received information that AL men were preparing for a rally in the Shibu Market area," said Fatullah Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shariful Islam.
"Acting on the tip-off, we detained seven people. They told us they were organising the march to re-establish AL's presence."
This marks the first time since 5 August that the party has been seen holding a public demonstration in Narayanganj.
