The third namaz-e-janaza of former president Dr AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury has been held at the Sreenagar Upazila Stadium in Munshiganj.

The janaza took place at around 10am today (6 October), with thousands of people in attendance.

Officials from the upazila administration, local leaders of various political parties, and other notable figures participated in the funeral prayer.

Afterwards, the body of the former president, popularly known as B Chowdhury, will be taken to his village home.

Following the Zuhr prayers, the fourth janaza will be held at his village home in Majidpur Dayhata, after which he will be laid to rest in the family graveyard.

Former president Badruddoza Chowdhury passes away

The 93-year-old passed away in the early hours of yesterday (5 October). He breathed his last at the Medical College for Women and Hospital in Uttara at 3:10am.

B Chowdhury was admitted to the hospital on the morning of 2 October due to a lung infection. That day his daughter Dr Shayla Chowdhury said her father was already suffering from ischemic heart disease.
