Shelve your statuses for the day, since Kalbaishakhi is unlikely to hit the country any time soon.
Although mild rain will sweep over Dhaka and other parts of the country in the next few days, there is no likelihood of a nor'wester taking place anywhere in the country, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
"There is no low pressure on anything in the Bay, which means there won't be any thunder storm in the coming days. The current cloudy weather is due to the westerly low pressure" said Bazlur Rashid, a meteorologist at the BMD.
The BMD, however, has forecast mild rain in all divisions of the country, including Dhaka, in 24 hours commencing 9:00am on today (22 March).
"Rain or lightning flashes accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions," said a Met office regular bulletin.
Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may fall slightly over the country, as per the weather bulletin.
A trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area.
Seasonal low lies over the South Bay, BMD bulletin further said.
