Heavy rainfall, landslides, waterlogging likely in 3 divisions in next 24 hrs

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted heavy (44-88mm/24hrs) to very heavy (88mm/24hrs) rainfall in three divisions due to an active southwest monsoon.
Heavy rainfall is predicted in Chattogram, Khulna, and Barishal divisions over the next 24 hours, commencing at 10am today (6 July), said a bulletin.
The bulletin warns that landslides may occur in areas over the hilly regions in the Chattogram division.

It also said temporary waterlogging may occur in some areas of the Chattogram metropolitan areas.
