Later, the python was released into the reserve forest area
Locals in Chattogram's Satkania have rescued a python about 7 feet long from a house.
The snake was recovered yesterday (24 October) from the residence of Mostak Ahmed in Ward 5 of Purangor Union in the upazila.
Abdullah Al Mamun, divisional forest officer of the Chattogram South Forest Division, said, "The rescued python was released into the reserve forest area of Tonkabati Beat's Paharchanda mouza in the presence of locals."
Speaking to The Business Standard, Mostak said, "At around 11pm on Thursday night, I saw the python in one of the rooms of my house. Later, with the help of locals, I tied it with a rope."
"The next morning, when the Forest Department was informed, they came and took the python away," he added.
