Gas supply is expected to be disrupted for 12 hours from this evening across a vast area of the capital due to repair work on the gas transmission line at the Demra City Gate Station (CGS), managed by GTCL.

The work will affect the downstream network connected to Titas Gas's CGS Demra.

According to a statement from Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company PLC, the repair work will result in low or severely low gas pressure for all categories of consumers in areas including Demra, Matuail, Shyampur, Rayerbagh, Dholairpar, Sayebad, Shanir Akhra, Shahjahanpur, Khilgaon, Bashabo, Motijheel, Rampura, Badda, Malibagh, Gulshan, Banani, and other nearby neighbourhoods.

The disruption will last from 6:00pm on Monday to 6:00am on Tuesday. In some areas, gas pressure may drop to zero during this period, the company warned.

Titas Gas has apologised for the temporary inconvenience and urged customers in the affected areas to plan accordingly.
