Gas tariff for fertiliser nearly doubled to Tk29.25

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has revised the gas tariff for the fertiliser sector, increasing it to Tk29.25 per cubic metre from the existing rate of Tk16.
The announcement came through an official notification issued today (23 November).
According to the notification, the revised tariff will take effect from 1 December.

BERC said the decision was made under Sections 22 (Kha) and 34 of the BERC Act 2003 and follows a review of appeals submitted by gas distribution companies.
