Bangladesh ambassador visits Moscow factories making equipment for Rooppur Power Plant
The envoy underscored the importance of coordination between the manufacturing process at Russian factories, construction work in Bangladesh at the project area

Bangladesh Ambassador to Russia Kamrul Ahsan visited PJSC ZiO-Podolsk and JSC Rasu factories in Moscow, on July 28 and 29 respectively.
Ambassador Kamrul went there to inspect the progress of equipment manufacturing for the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant.
PJSC ZiO-Podolsk General Director Anatoly Smirnov briefed the ambassador about the progress of work there during the inspection.
And the Bangladesh ambassador placed the highest importance on the timely completion of the project – a top priority of the government – while maintaining international standards, reads a press release.
Russian heavy equipment manufacturer ZiO-Podolsk already supplied four sets of moisture separator reheater, high-pressure heater for the Rooppur Power Plant Unit 1, and bubbler tanks for Unit 1 and Unit 2.
ZiO-Podolsk is now building moisture separator reheater, high-pressure heater, and emergency core cooling system hydro-accumulator for Unit 2.
Also, the Bangladesh delegation had a meeting JSC Rasu Chief Executive Officer Andrey Butko during a visit at the factory.
At that time, the factory management informed Ambassador Kamrul that they kept the production process fully operational under special management even during the pandemic.
And the Bangladesh ambassador underscored the importance of coordination between the manufacturing process at Russian factories and the construction work in Bangladesh at the project area.
However, integration and testing of various parts of the upper-level control system of Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1 are underway at JSC Rasu.
All the work is expected to be completed by next September and the equipment will be sent to Bangladesh after the technical evaluation, the press release read.
