Eid-ul-Fitr: Advance train ticket sale begins 3 March

Bangladesh Railway will begin selling advance train ticket sales for Eid-ul-Fitr journeys on 3 March, and sales will continue until 9 March.
As in previous years, 100% of tickets will be sold online. In addition to regular ones, five pairs of special trains will also operate during the Eid period, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Railways today (25 February).
According to the schedule, tickets for 14 March will be available on 4 March; tickets for 15 March on 5 March; tickets for 16 March on 6 March; tickets for 17 March on 7 March; tickets for 18 March on 8 March; and tickets for 19 March on 9 March.

Meanwhile, sales of return tickets will begin on 13 March, with tickets for 23 March going on sale that day.
Tickets for 24 March will be sold on 14 March; tickets for 25 March on 15 March; tickets for 26 March on 16 March; tickets for 27 March on 17 March; tickets for 28 March on 18 March; and tickets for 29 March on 19 March.
To ensure easier access for passengers, Bangladesh Railway has decided that tickets for all intercity trains operating in the western region will be sold from 8am, while tickets for all intercity trains operating in the eastern region will be available from 2pm, according to the press release.
