No chance of question paper leaks in SSC exams: Edu minister
He said Bangladesh has all the technological tools needed to prevent question paper leaks; they simply had not been used before.
Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinees this year have no opportunity to cheat, and there is no risk of question paper leaks as in previous years, Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon said today (21 April).
"There is no fear of question leaks. The cyber cell has been given clear directives to prevent leaks from the outset. The phone numbers of everyone involved in setting the question papers are in the hands of the cyber cell," the minister told reporters at a press conference in the International Mother Language Institute on the first day of the examinations.

Reiterating the government's firm commitment to eliminating cheating, the minister said closed-circuit cameras have been installed at every examination centre, with officials monitoring proceedings from a central control room in real time.
He also directed the authorities concerned to archive all CCTV footage, overriding the standard seven-day retention rule.
On the first day of the examinations, Milon personally inspected five centres under Dhaka Board designated as high-risk, two in Manikganj and one each in Savar, Aminbazar and Paikpara in Mirpur and expressed satisfaction with the environment at all of them.
The minister also noted the cooperative spirit seen across the board, with district administration, law enforcement, examination controllers, centre secretaries and parents all working in unison. "Parents are themselves setting an example of restraint."
Milon said work has already begun on developing a revised curriculum better suited to the needs of students.
The SSC and equivalent examinations kicked off today with the Bangla paper and will continue through 20 May.
A total of 18,57,344 candidates are appearing this year— 9,30,305 male and 9,27,039 female.
