DPS STS School becomes Cambridge approved PDQ Centre

DPS STS School Dhaka has received approval as Cambridge Professional Development Qualification (PDQ) Centre.

The Dean of Academics of Lower Secondary of DPS STS has been nominated as the Programme Leader for the PDQ Centre.

Cambridge PDQ programmes are designed for practising teachers and education leaders to help them develop their intellectual thinking and practice with expert guidance and support.

The Dean of Academics will join the seven-week Programme Leader Online training from August 12 arranged by Cambridge International. After the successful completion of the training, he will design and offer the PDQ training for DPS teachers and others.

The qualifications of these programmes are relevant to all general education teaching and learning contexts. Teachers or leaders attaining the Cambridge PDQ Certificate and Diploma will gain a qualification that is recognised and valued for further professional development.

Schools taking Cambridge PDQs demonstrate their commitment to quality professional development and standards.

Cambridge PDQs help practising teachers and education leaders to be engaged critically with relevant educational thinking and international best practices, apply new ideas and approaches in their own practice, reflect and share experiences and outcomes to plan further development and improve the quality of their students' learning.

Principal of DPS STS School Madhu Wal said, "Through these programmes, a Cambridge PD qualified teacher will achieve the quality to - meet the needs and priorities of the individual and the school, support school-based professional development, enhance professional thinking and practice to improve the quality of learning, provide international benchmarks for professional learning leading to valuable certification and progression, energize professional learning communities."

Upon implementation of the PDQ training, DPS STS School will soon have all teachers and leaders trained and certified to apply Cambridge School's learning strategies and processes in the preparation and application of an international curriculum.
