Bangladesh among top 2 countries in sending students to United States
Miller said that more importance is being given to the exchange of education

US Ambassador to Bangladesh Earl Robert Miller has said Bangladesh is now one of the top two countries in the world in sending students to the United States to pursue postgraduate, PhD and other hard science degrees.
The ambassador made the disclosure while talking to the reporters after his courtesy call on Rajshahi City Corporation Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton at the city's Nagar Bhaban on Thursday noon.
Miller said that more importance is being given to the exchange of education. Efforts are being undertaken to increase the exchange rate of students, in addition to education faculties and teachers, between the two countries.
He also stated about potential US investment in the region and partnering Rajshahi with a US city under the Sister Cities Programme so that they can move forward at a similar pace.
