2-day 'Cuet Career Fest 2025' ends with job fair, skill-building sessions

The two-day "Cuet Career Fest 2025," organised by the Cuet Career Club at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (Cuet), concluded today (9 August) with a vibrant job fair and inspiring talks aimed at preparing students for their future careers.
The festival, which began on Friday, featured a series of career-oriented sessions, competitions, and networking opportunities designed to raise awareness and enhance career readiness among students.
The opening day kicked off with a colourful rally, followed by a competitive case competition involving 24 teams and more than 50 participants. Students also attended seminars on the BCS exams, higher education opportunities, banking careers, and advanced research.
The second and final day featured the much-anticipated job fair at Cuet's Swadhinata Chattar, where 11 renowned companies set up recruitment booths. Job seekers submitted their CVs directly and engaged in discussions with recruiters. Separate seminars were also held on advanced research and entrepreneurship.
The festival concluded with the "Career Kothon" session, in which accomplished professionals shared personal stories and practical career advice to inspire students, followed by a prize-giving and closing ceremony.
Cuet Career Club President Md Ali Hasan Tuhin said they believe the event will provide students with practical guidance for career planning.
A participant, Samia Tasfia Haque, said the festival taught them presentation and public speaking skills.
