Editors' Council holds first meeting of newly elected executive committee
New Age Editor Nurul Kabir formally assumed the role of president of the new committee at the meeting
The newly elected executive committee of the Editors' Council held its first meeting yesterday (2 December).
Nurul Kabir, editor of New Age, formally assumed the role of president of the new committee at the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Mahfuz Anam, editor and publisher of The Daily Star; Matiur Rahman Chowdhury, editor of Manabzamin; Matiur Rahman, editor of Prothom Alo; Shamsul Huq Zahid, editor of The Financial Express; Tasmima Hossain, editor of The Daily Ittefaq; Dewan Hanif Mahmud, editor of Bonik Barta; AMM Bahauddin, editor of The Daily Inqilab; and Rusho Mahmud, editor of Suprabhat Bangladesh.
Md Mozammel Haque, editor of The Daily Karatoa, joined the meeting online.
During the session, outgoing president Mahfuz Anam was presented with a crest in recognition of his strong leadership and significant contributions to the Editors' Council.
