Ducsu polls: Chhatra Dal directs members outside panel to withdraw nominations
25 August is the last day to withdraw nomination
The Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), student wing of the BNP, has instructed all its leaders and activists who are not part of the approved panels to withdraw their candidacy from the upcoming Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) and hall union elections.
According to the election schedule, 25 August is the last day to withdraw nomination papers, which can be done until 1:00pm.
In a directive issued today (23 August), the Dhaka University unit of Chhatra Dal said that while many leaders and activists collected nomination forms to contest in the Ducsu and hall union polls, only the organisation's officially nominated panel members will be allowed to remain in the race.
