DU reviews Uttara housing as temporary accommodation during hall construction

The Dhaka University (DU) has begun assessing the feasibility of using residential facilities in Uttara housing as temporary accommodation for students during its upcoming hall construction and renovation project.
As part of its ongoing efforts to identify suitable relocation options, a high-level DU delegation visited the Uttara (Diabari) residential area yesterday (25 November) to inspect potential housing arrangements, according to a press release issued by the university's Public Relations Office today (26 November).

The visiting team included DU Treasurer Prof M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Bridges Division Secretary and Executive Director of Bangladesh Bridge Authority Mohammad Abdur Rouf, former secretary Kabirul Islam, DU Director of Accounts Mohammad Saiful Islam, Acting Chief Engineer Kazi Md Akram Hossain, Acting Estate Manager Fatema Binte Mustafa, Transport Manager Md Kamrul Hasan, Ducsu VP Sadiq Kayem, Ducsu AGS Mohiuddin Khan, and Student Transport Secretary Asif Abdullah.
