Dry weather likely across the country
Night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged, while day temperatures are likely to rise slightly across the country, the met office said.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast dry weather with a temporarily partly cloudy sky across the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00am today (17 January).
"Weather may remain dry with a temporarily partly cloudy sky over the country," the BMD said in a bulletin issued this morning.
Light to moderate fog may form at a few places across the country during late night to morning hours.
Night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged, while day temperatures are likely to rise slightly across the country, the met office said.
On Friday, the highest temperature was recorded at 29.6 degrees Celsius in Teknaf under Chattogram division, while the lowest temperature of 9.0 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
In the capital, sunset today is expected at 5:34pm, while sunrise tomorrow is forecast for 6:43am.
