'Don't need to win, just want to stay alive': Ducsu VP candidate Abdul Kader
He said harassment and propaganda against him intensified after his recent remarks on Razakars

Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) vice president (VP) candidate Abdul Kader from the Ganatantrik Chhatra Sangsad panel has expressed deep fear for his life amid growing propaganda and harassment, saying he no longer cares about winning the polls, only about surviving.
In a Facebook post this afternoon (4 September), Kader wrote, "I don't need to win Ducsu, I just want to stay alive. At least show me that little mercy."
He said harassment and propaganda against him intensified after his recent remarks on Razakars. "Since then, I can't sleep properly. I wake up in the middle of the night, trembling. How much more can one person endure? I don't know how many more days I can take this."
The Ducsu candidate alleged that the smear campaign has extended beyond him to his family. "If the online harassment was limited to me, I could accept it. But they are even going to my home and saying things to my mother," he said.
Kader also accused critics of deliberately misrepresenting his comments. "They are cutting a 10-day-old statement to spread propaganda. If the full statement were shown, people would understand the context."
"The election is still five days away — thinking about what else may happen traumatises me further," he added.
Abdul Kader has been among the most talked-about VP candidates in the upcoming Ducsu election.
