College student killed in accident on Ctg expressway
She was a student of Economics Department at Hazera Taju Degree College in the city.
A college student was killed in a road accident when a car lost control on the elevated expressway in front of Gosaildanga temple in the city this afternoon (9 April).
The deceased was identified as Samia Jahan Tanisha, 22, daughter of Md Abu Taleb Patwari, resident of Fulgali Shah Amanat Housing Society in the Rahattarpul area of the city.
She was a student of Economics Department at Hazera Taju Degree College in the city.

Confirming the matter, Bandar Police Station sub-inspector (SI) Ershad Mia told The Business Standard, "The body will be handed over to the family after completion of the autopsy"
According to locals, the accident took place around 3pm when a car lost control while speeding, causing Tanisha to be thrown out of the vehicle and sustain critical injuries.
Later, she was rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH), where on-duty doctors declared her dead.
The driver of the car, Saidul Alam, sustained minor injuries and is currently receiving treatment at the same hospital.
The deceased's family claimed that they were unfamiliar with the driver of the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Bandar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Abdur Rahim said, "An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident."
"The exact circumstances will be clearer once the victim's family members come to the police station," he added.
