Dismembered body of unidentified youth recovered in Teknaf

Police today 9 April recovered the dismembered body of an unidentified youth, packed in a sack, from the Marine Drive area in Cox's Bazar's Teknaf.

Confirming the incident, Inspector Durjoy Biswas, in charge of the Baharchara Investigation Centre, said, "The body, cut into three pieces, was found this afternoon beside the Marine Drive road near the Kachhpia area of Baharchara union."
According to police, locals informed authorities after spotting the suspicious sack. Law enforcers rushed to the scene and recovered the body in three pieces.
Police believe the victim is aged between 25 and 30.
The inspector further said, "An inquest report will be prepared before sending the body to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. An investigation is underway to determine the identity of the victim and the circumstances surrounding the killing."
