Dhaka for including Rohingya issue in OIC’s 10-year action plan

Dhaka has called for the inclusion of the Rohingya repatriation issue in the OIC's Ten-Year Plan of Action (2026-2035).
During a meeting with OIC Secretary General's Special Envoy on Myanmar Ambassador Ibrahim Khairat, Foreign Secretary Ambassador Md Jashim Uddin emphasised the need for OIC's continued advocacy for the sustainable return of the Rohingyas to their homeland in Myanmar
The special envoy conveyed that the OIC is willing to work with the Bangladesh government to organise the High-Level Conference on the Situation of Rohingya Muslims and other minorities in Myanmar, said a foreign ministry press release.
The foreign secretary extended his sincere thanks to the special envoy for visiting Bangladesh and for recognising the importance of addressing the Rohingya crisis.
The meeting focused on strengthening humanitarian support and enhancing coordinated diplomatic efforts to ensure the repatriation of the Rohingyas to Myanmar.
They discussed the existing situation in the Arakan state and attached importance to working together to resolve the Rohingya crisis.
The foreign secretary urged the OIC and its member states to increase their contributions to essential humanitarian assistance for the Rohingyas.
In response, the special envoy reaffirmed the OIC's commitment to working with its member states to provide the necessary support for the Rohingyas.
