Dhaka automobile, agro-machinery expo starts tomorrow
The "AutoDhaka automobile, agro-machinery expo starts tomorrow mobiles and Agro-Machinery Fair 2025 - Road to Made in Bangladesh" kicks off tomorrow, aiming to promote domestic manufacturing, encourage the use of locally produced goods, and generate new employment opportunities for the country's vast workforce.
Organised by the Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI) in collaboration with the Bangladesh Automobiles Assemblers and Manufacturers Association and the Agriculture Machinery Manufacturers Association-Bangladesh, the two-day fair will take place on 20-21 September at the top floor of the BCI office building in Dhaka.
The inauguration ceremony, scheduled for 11am tomorrow, will feature Adilur Rahman Khan, adviser to the Ministry of Industries, as the chief guest. Special guests include Md Obaidur Rahman, secretary of the Ministry of Industries, and Mir Nasir Hossain, former FBCCI president and managing director of Mir Group.
The closing ceremony on Sunday will feature Sheikh Bashir Uddin, adviser to the Ministry of Commerce, alongside distinguished guests Dr Hossain Zillur Rahman, Dr Mohammad Emdad Ullah Mian, AK Azad, and Taskin Ahmed.
This year's fair will feature 38 stalls, including 26 showcasing products from the automobile, agricultural machinery, and light engineering sectors. Additional booths will be hosted by Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Center (Bitac), Buet, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, and SME-focused banks.
Two seminars will also take place during the two-day fair.
