DCCI mourns death of former director Nuher Latif Khan

The Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) has expressed profound shock at the death of its former director Nuher Latif Khan.
Taskeen Ahmed, the president of DCCI, and the board of directors expressed deep sorrow over Nuher's untimely passing and offered heartfelt sympathies to his grieving family, read a press release.
Nuher Latif Khan served as DCCI director from 2018 to 2020.
A prominent entrepreneur, Nuher was the managing director of Joules Power Limited and Technaf Solartech Energy Limited, companies focused on the renewable energy sector.
He was recognised as a pioneer in Bangladesh's renewable energy and power industry and was an active member of the Bangladesh Independent Power Producers' Association (BIPPA).
His vision and dynamic advocacy for sustainable energy significantly contributed to the future of energy in Bangladesh.
Nuher Khan's remains will be repatriated from Dubai pending clearance from the relevant authorities. A Janazah will be held at Baridhara Jame Masjid, followed by burial at the Banani military graveyard.
The family will announce the time and date of the services after obtaining the necessary permissions.
On 14 January, Nuher died around 2:18am at the American Hospital in Dubai due to cardiac arrest. He was 40.
