Curfew, Section 144 withdrawn in Gopalganj
From 8pm onwards, neither the curfew nor Section 144 would remain in effect in the district

Gopalganj district administration has officially lifted the curfew and Section 144 in the district, imposed following Wednesday's clashes that left five people dead and scores injured.
In a notification issued this evening (20 July), signed by District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Kamruzzaman, it was announced that from 8pm onwards, neither the curfew nor Section 144 would remain in effect in the district.
Law enforcement operations to arrest those responsible for the violence will continue, it added.
Executive Magistrate Russell Munshi confirmed the withdrawal of both the curfew and Section 144.
The curfew was first imposed on Wednesday (16 July), following deadly clashes between banned Awami League supporters and law enforcers during the National Citizen Party's (NCP) "March to Gopalganj", which left five people dead and scores injured.
Following the violence, the curfew was subsequently extended multiple times, with intermittent relaxations, until this evening.
Earlier in the day, Section 144 was enforced from 6am to 8pm in the district.
