Fahim Ahmad Palash, a student of the Statistics Department at Chattogram University (CU), has died after being critically injured in a road accident while delivering aid to flood victims in Noakhali.

The tragic accident occurred on Tuesday (27 August) when a pickup truck carrying relief materials from the CU Statistics department met with an accident in the Jorarganj area of Mirsharai.

Palash, who was severely injured, was immediately admitted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital. After spending eight days in the ICU, his condition worsened, and he was transferred to CMH in Dhaka yesterday (3 September).

Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead the following morning.

"After the accident, we arranged for Palash's treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital, but his condition didn't improve. After eight days, we brought him to Dhaka, but we couldn't save him even then. Fahim is no more. He gave his life trying to help others," Ashik Sarkar said.
