Watch out for muggers: Home ministry publishes revised list of most dangerous areas across Dhaka, adjacent districts
The general public has been advised to be cautious while travelling in these areas

The Ministry of Home Affairs today (24 February) published a list of the most dangerous areas in Dhaka and adjacent districts amid surging reports of mugging, robbery and violence.
The list, prepared by civilian forces, including the police, RAB and other relevant law enforcement agencies, was sent to The Business Standard by Foisal Hasan, public relations officer of the ministry.
The general public has been advised to be cautious while travelling in these areas:
Mohammadpur: Dhaka Udyan, Bosila three-road intersection, Bosila Bridge, Nobodoy Housing, Rayer Bazar, Mohammadia Housing, the road opposite the Rayer Bazar Intellectuals Graveyard and Bosila Garden City.
Dhanmondi and Mohamamdpur junction: Asad Gate, Chand Udyan, Rayer Bazar, Tajmahal Road, and Japan City Garden are mentioned, as well as the road from Dhanmondi-32 to Manik Mia Avenue, footover bridges.
Tongi: Cherag Ali, Kaderia Gate, Millgate, Station Road, Tongi Railway Station, Tongi Bazaar, both on and below the Abdullahpur Flyover.
Jatrabari and adjacent areas: Shonir Akhra, Jatrabari Pocketgate, Jatrabari-Gulistan intersection, Gazipur Chowrasta, Konabari, Kodda, Nawjor are mentioned. Also the Jatrabari-Chattogram Road are mentioned, including Mouchak, Saddam Market, Rayerbag, Shonir Akhra to Kutubkhali
Mirpur: Mirpur-11, Bihari Camp, Kalshi, West Shewrapara, Mirpur-10 square
Motijheel and adjacent areas: Motijheel, Paltan and Shapla Chattar
Airport and adjacent areas: Kuril Bishwa Road, House Building to Gazipura
Rampura and nearby areas: Bashtala, Rampura
Banani-Gulshan: Banani Bridge, Banani-11 to Gulshan Road, Old Dhaka and nearby areas such as Babu Bazar, Kadamtali, and Badamtali
Dhaka-Chattogram Highwa: Rayebag to Matuail Medical, and Keraniganj areas such as Jinjira, various points of Keranjiganj, Kadamtali
