"The arrestees have been handed over to the Jatrabari Police Station for legal proceedings," RAB said.

Regarding the reported attack on traffic police, RAB said on the morning of 3 May at around 7:30am, traffic police on duty at Janapad intersection in Jatrabari signalled a helmetless motorcyclist and a private car to stop.

However, the driver of the private car became agitated and attempted to run over a police constable. The constable narrowly escaped injury.
