Police have submitted two charge sheets, accusing 24 people including Ayesha Siddiqua Minni, in connection with the sensational Rifat Shorif murder, according to a press release from Barguna police superintendent's office on Sunday.

The charge sheets were filed before the Senior Judicial Magistrate Court at 4.30pm Sunday.

Prime suspect Sabbir Ahmed Nayan was acquitted from the charge sheet as he had been killed in an alleged gunfight with the police.

Minni's husband Rifat, 22, was hacked to death by criminals in front of her in broad daylight in Barguna on June 26. The incident was caught on surveillance camera.

High Court recently granted bail to Ayesha Siddiqe Minni on condition that she would not say anything to the media about the case.
