The Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested Kazi Mamunur Rashid, secretary general of the Raushan-led faction of the Jatiyo Party, early today (29 September) in a case filed over anti-state conspiracy.
He was arrested in front of The Westin Dhaka in the capital, DB chief Md Shafiqul Islam confirmed today.
Further details of the case or his arrest could not be known immediately.
