Teknaf Police today (14 April) found the body of an easybike driver who has been missing for the last 10 days.
The deceased has been identified as Mahabur Rahmn (22), son of the late Syed Hossain, a resident of Hnila union in Teknaf of Cox's Bazar.
"His half-decayed body was recovered from a hill in Paschim Uluchamari, Hnila union, Teknaf around 11am today. The body was found in a sack," said Teknaf Police Station OC Muhammad Gias Uddin said.
The OC said on the morning of 4 April, Mahabur left his house on his easybike as usual. He did not return home after leaving. His family members searched a lot but could not find him for the last 10 days and continued searching.
"Today, local people found the half-melted body wrapped in a sack on the hill. After being informed, the deceased's elder brother Syed Alam and the family members of the deceased were able to identify the body by looking at the clothes on the body," said OC Gias.
He said the process of preparing a report on the body and taking necessary legal action is underway.
