Earlier on Sunday at 12:07am, the man went live from his personal Facebook account named "Mohsin Talukdar" and threatened to kill Shakib Al Hasan.

He was seen wielding a sharp weapon and threatening Shakib for inaugurating a puja mandap in India's Kolkata on Thursday.

At that time, he insulted Shakib in vulgar language and asked him to apologise in a press conference.

Mohsin, in the video said that Shakib has hurt religious sentiment of Muslims by inaugurating the puja mandap. However, in another live, Mohsin apologised for his rude behavior.

A case was filed against Mohsin by Sub-inspector Mahbub Morshed with Jalalabad Police Station in Sylhet under the Digital Security Act on Monday night.

Shakib clarifies everything about India visit

Shakib, in a video on Sunday, clarified the matter and spoke in detail about what actually happened.

Shakib also spoke in detail about the Kali Puja incident. "This is of course very sensitive. First of all, I consider myself to be a proud Muslim and we are not beyond mistakes. I apologise to you all if I had made any mistake," he said.

In addition, the all-rounder mentioned, "It was all over the media that I went to Kolkata to inaugurate the Kali Puja which I never did. I can prove that too. Ask the journalists who were there and they will be able to tell you who actually inaugurated it. If you see the invitation card, you yourself will see who did it."

Shakib said that he was requested to light a lamp there on his way back to his car. "I was there for two minutes. Paresh da, who invited me there, requested me to light a lamp. Then the journalists requested me to pose with him for the camera. The Kali Puja was inaugurated before I was there."

Shakib once again apologised for that and said that he will try to make sure this doesn't happen again. "For those two minutes, people are thinking that I inaugurated the Kali Puja. I didn't do that and as a practising Muslim,  I will never do this. But still, if you think that I made a mistake, I apologise to all of you. I will try to make sure that this never happens again," Shakib concluded.
