Madrasah teacher arrested in Chattogram for allegedly kidnapping, raping minor boy
Police say the man allegedly raped the child multiple times prior to the kidnapping

Police have arrested a madrasah teacher in the Lohagara area of Chattogram on charges of kidnapping and raping a 10-year-old male student.
The arrest was made early this morning (12 July) during a raid conducted by Lohagara police at a residential hotel in Chakaria municipality of Cox's Bazar.
Lohagara police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Arifur Rahman confirmed the matter, saying, "Preliminary investigations have confirmed the allegations."
The accused, identified as Belal Uddin, is a teacher at a madrasah in Lohagara Upazila.
The victim, a student at the same madrasa, was allegedly abducted by Belal yesterday afternoon (11 July) and taken to the hotel in Chakaria, where he was held captive and raped. The teacher reportedly threatened to kill the boy if he disclosed the incident.
The OC further said that Belal allegedly raped the child multiple times prior to the kidnapping.
The victim's father filed a case with the Lohagara police today.
