Khulna Jubo Dal leader shot dead

Rashikul Anam Rashu, joint general secretary of Daulatpur Thana Jubo Dal, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Khulna's Daulatpur area today (16 March), police said.

Rashu was the son of Shariful Anam and a resident of the Deyana area under Daulatpur.

Confirming the incident, Sub-Inspector of Daulatpur Police Station Md Abdullah Al Mamun said police have inspected the crime scene, and efforts are underway to arrest those involved in the killing.
Locals said Rashu ran a sand and brick business beside KDA Kalpataru Market. He was at his business establishment in the morning when several attackers arrived and opened fire indiscriminately.
One of the bullets hit him in the head, causing him to collapse at the scene, they said.
He was later taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
