Hasina's driver's son arrested
He is accused of attempting to incite unrest and carry out destructive activities in Mohammadpur under the directives of fugitive Awami League leaders

Police have arrested Rubel Ahmed (32), the son of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina's driver, Razzak Matabbar, who was reportedly a Chhatra League leader in the capital's Adabar.
He was arrested during a raid in the Metro Housing area in Mohammadpur last night (18 February), said Jewel Rana, additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of the Tejgaon Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
"Rubel is accused of attempting to incite unrest and carry out destructive activities in Mohammadpur under the directives of fugitive Awami League leaders," he said.
Sheikh Hasina fled the country and sheltered in India on 5 August last year after her ouster led by a mass student-people uprising.
Many AL leaders and activists followed suit amid a crackdown by law enforcement agencies to arrest them on charges of genocide, crimes against humanity and corruption, among others.
