Fake Covid-19 report: Shahabuddin Hospital's managing director arrested
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested Faisal Al Islam, the managing director of Shahabuddin Medical College Hospital, on Monday night over alleged Covid-19 testing scam.
Confirming the matter, Commanding Officer (CO) of RAB-2 Lt Col Ashique Billah said the elite force nabbed him from a hotel in Dhaka.
Earlier in the day, RAB filed a case again Foisal and two other staff of the hospital on allegation of providing fake Covid-19 test reports.

According to RAB, the medical college hospital had been providing fake test reports without getting Covid-19 test permission.
The hospital tested Covid-19 and took Tk4,500-5,000 from each patients for the testing. They even took money from the patients without testing them.
The hospital also allegedly admitted Covid-19 negative patients claiming that they were positive for the coronavirus and took additional bill from them.
