DB arrests Maj Gen (retd) Mahiuddin in New Gini Properties attack case
Mahiuddin is the fourth accused named in the case filed at Cantonment Police Station.
The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested Maj Gen (retd) Golam Mahiuddin Chowdhury, who is accused in the case filed over the recent attack on New Gini Properties in the capital's ECB Chattar area.
A DB Gulshan division team arrested him from a house in Segunbagicha under Ramna Police Station around 2:45pm today (30 September), DB Additional Commissioner Shafiqul Islam confirmed to The Business Standard.
Mahiuddin is the fourth accused named in the case filed at Cantonment Police Station.

The case, filed on Sunday (27 September), includes charges under Sections 143, 147, 148, 149, 447, 448, 323, 324, 325, 326, 307, 379, 380, 427, 114, and 34 of the Penal Code.
Earlier, Cantonment police and DB arrested six others over the attack, vandalism, looting, and gunfire at New Gini Properties.
