CID detains 'China Sohel', a fugitive accused in July uprising

Members of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested a fugitive, accused in connection with a July uprising case, from Jatrabari in the capital last night.
The arrestee was identified as Sohel Chowdhury alias China Sohel, 50, an Awami League leader of Ward 51 and organising secretary of Jatrabari unit.
He was wanted in two cases filed with the Jatrabari Police Station.
Based on a tip-off, a team of CID conducted a drive in the area and arrested him on Wednesday night.
After an interrogation, his involvement was found in carrying out sabotage during the Anti-discrimination Student Movement.
