Chinese national found dead with 11 'stab wounds' in Uttara flat

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police today (20 February) recovered the body of a Chinese national from his flat in Uttara Sector-14.
The deceased has been identified as Wang Ho, 38, said Md Hafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Uttara West Police Station officials.
He lived in the flat, located on Road 16, with his colleagues, the OC added.
Speaking to reporters after visiting the spot this evening, Criminal Investigation Department's Inspector Russel Kabir said, "Analysis of the injuries suggests that the man was killed 14 to 15 hours ago. A total of 11 stab wounds were found on his body.
However, the police could not clarify who stabbed the Chinese national."
"Two mobile phones and the victim's blood-stained clothes have been recovered as evidence. His old and new passports have been found," the inspector added.
According to police sources, Wang Ho came to Bangladesh from China on 18 February after the death of his father. He was murdered within two days. He was doing business in Bangladesh in partnership.
In this regard, Uttara Paschim Police Station OC Hafizur said the deceased Chinese national moved into the rented house with his colleagues a month ago. He was doing stone business in partnership in Bangladesh for nine years.
The deceased had recently gone to China after his father passed away. He returned to Bangladesh on 18 February.
