The incident took place in the Chinki Astana area of Baraiyarhat Municipality at around 4:30pm yesterday, according to police.
The suspect, Dulal, son of the late Fakir Ahmad from the same Shafi Saudagar household, attempted to evade capture but was apprehended from the Muhuri Project area by the Zorarganj police today (1 April).
Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Wadud, the duty officer at Zorarganj Police Station, confirmed the developments.
