A case has been filed over the killing of a teenager in a mob beating in Fatikchhari upazila of Chattogram, with police arresting two suspects in connection with the incident.
The case was lodged last night (22 August) by Khadija Begum, mother of 15-year-old victim Md Rihan Mahin, naming five people and accusing seven others unidentified.
Rihan, son of shopkeeper Muhammad Lokman of Kanchannagar union, was attacked in the early hours on Friday while returning home with two friends. Locals tied the three boys to a bridge and beat them on suspicion of theft. Rihan died on the spot, while his friends Muhammad Manik and Muhammad Rahat were severely injured and remain under treatment.

Confirming the filing of the case and arrest, Fatikchhari Police Station Officer-in-Charge Nur Ahmad said drives are underway to arrest the remaining accused.
